BREAKING: Hunt has second chance to win a premiership
AFL : Ex-BITS Saints midfielder Megan Hunt has been named on a half forward flank in Brisbane Lions' team for Saturday's AFLW grand final against Western Bulldogs.
The Lions' number six has had a mixed season in which she played in round one against 2017 premiers Adelaide Crows before she was dropped for the next few games.
Hunt has since played in the final few games off the bench.
Working in her favour is that she was one of the better players in Brisbane six-point grand final loss against Adelaide last year.
Her ability to mark strongly and win the ball in tight will be key to Brisbane Lions' chances against a classy Bulldogs side.
Star forward Katie Brennan's appeal to overturn a two-match suspension failed last night.
Western Bulldogs put forward a case underlined by sexual discrimination, but the club may consider its legal options.
Brisbane qualified for the decider by thrashing GWS Giants last week and then relied on the Bulldogs' last-gasp win over Melbourne and Adelaide Crows' choke against Collingwood.
