High flying AFL star making mark
MEGAN Hunt's stand-out performance in the recent AFL Queensland Under-16 Youth Girls Championship has earned her selection in the prestigious AFL All-Stars - an honour given to the best 22 players of the competition.
All-Star selection capped off a brilliant tournament for the Tannum Sands State High student who was also named as Player of the Tournament and Player of the 3rd v 4th play-off which saw the Central Coast Cobras defeat North Queensland Lions.
It has been a big year for Hunt.
The talented 15-year-old competed with the Under-18 Youth Girls Queensland Team at the National Championships on the Gold Coast in September and from there was chosen for the All-Australian under-18 team.
Hunt is one of 10 girls selected to attend the 2012 High Performance Camp in Melbourne for the top Women's players from around the country.
