Goats win two out of three matches against Frenchville

DESPITE it being a scratch match, the Gladstone Rugby Union Football Club Goats were too good for depleted Cap Coast-Frenchville.

The visitors were outstanding in the under-17s match played at Cooee Bay Oval to outlast CCF 37-27.

In a show of goodwill, the visitors lent CCF players Eli Noovao and Ethan Perkinson and the Gladstone pair scored a try each.

Jayden Brougham, Dylan Johnson and Cassius Paitai starred for the Goats.

The under-15 side played a tough Cap Coast team and lost 20-10, with the Goats' Drew Jones man of the match.

Jayden Heta and Leith Hammelswang were also valuable contributors.

Ferguson Cumrie was outstanding with four tries, which led the Goats under-13 team to a 42-5 thumping against Cap Coast in humid conditions.

The Goats play their only home matches this Saturday at Meteors Sports Ground with the 13s from 2pm, 15s from 3pm and 17s at 4.15pm.
