Gladstone Port City Power women get a massive boost for 2019
BASKETBALL: Forward Ashleigh Kelman-Poto has re-committed for season 2019 with the Gladstone Port City Power Central Apartment Breakers.
She was one of the shining lights in a lean year in which she averaged double-double figures of 13 and 11 points and rebounds per game respectively.
Her best performance coming against the Townsville Flames when she scored 20 points and pulled down 23 rebounds.
"I'm excited to return to Gladstone and I'm ready to work hard and secure more wins for the club in 2019," she said.
Head coach Ray Cooper expressed his delight.
"Personally Ash had a really good season in 2018," he said.
"While we didn't achieve our goals in terms of wins, Ash established herself as one of the better unrestricted bigs in the league and am confident Ash can play a pivotal role on a more competitive Breakers outfit in 2019."
