Gladstone-Mt Larcom Rd open again after truck rollover
A 60-YEAR-OLD Mount Morgan truck driver is in a stable condition at Gladstone Hospital following a single-vehicle crash at Mount Larcom on Monday.
The Volvo semi-trailer was carrying a container when it rolled at the corner of Gladstone-Mount Larcom Rd and the Bruce Hwy about 6.30am.
The truck had come to a stop on its side with the driver trapped in the cabin.
Emergency services removed the driver from the cabin by 7.30am using hydraulic cutting equipment.
Intensive care paramedics were on scene and treated the man before transporting him to hospital.
It took almost five hours before the Gladstone-Mt Larcom Rd was re-opened to traffic.
UPDATE 10.45AM: The Gladstone Mt-Larcom Rd has re-opened through Mt Larcom following this morning's truck rollover.
UPDATE 9.50AM: The Gladstone-Mt Larcom Rd is still closed as emergency services work to remove a semi-trailer and container after a rollover this morning.
The driver has been removed from the truck and has been taken to Gladstone Hospital.
7.43AM: Gladstone-Mt Larcom Rd has been closed at the Bruce Highway after a truck rollover.
The Volvo semi-trailer was carrying a container when it rolled.
Emergency services are on the scene and are in the process of cutting the driver out of the cab. There is no information available on possible injuries.
The Bruce Highway is still open.
