Gladstone Harbour seafood still not being stocked locally
DESPITE the success of the Gladstone Harbour Festival free prawn promotion, Gladstone Seafood Promotion Committee chairman Peter Milne said he could not say when Glastone's retailers would resume stocking local seafood.
More than 300 people took up the offer to eat prawns from the harbour.
The initiative was carried out by members of the Gladstone Seafood Promotion Fund in a bid to repair the damaged reputation of seafood from Gladstone Harbour.
GSPF committee chairman Peter Milne said the committee wanted to change the perception that seafood from the harbour was dangerous to eat.
