Telina display home designed for coastal, relaxed living
WHEN it comes to describing Gladstone Coastal Homes' latest display home, the name pretty much says it all - a true reflection of coastal, relaxed living.
Since their last display home three years ago, the local builders have come out of the wood work to build a display home that reflects what they are all about.
Builder Craig Price said the inspiration for the interior design was based around their name.
"With the abundance of windows and sliding doors to capture the breeze and the soft colours to reflect the sands on the beach and the coolness and splash of colour for the ocean," he said.
"We have tried to use as many standard inclusions so future clients can see what they are actually getting for their money.
"But we also added a few upgraded items to show what can be done to personalise their home."
The modern design is simple, yet elegant.
Mr Price said the main living, dining and alfresco areas were all in one fantastic-for-family, day to day living or entertaining with family and friends.
The rooms were designed to give each member space and privacy, with a second living area ideal for "escape time''.
While the local builder's display home took about eight months to complete over holidays and rain periods, Mr Price was particularly happy with the outcome.
The majority of products were sourced from local suppliers, apart from the frames, trusses and front door.
The neat, simplistic landscaping that clearly complements the "coastal'' home, was designed by Jason and Jenny from Greenscapes.
And the best feature in the home?
"I would say the open plan living areas," Mr Price said.
"The kitchen and dining room flow onto the alfresco area with the centre piece being the kitchen.
"It's simply stunning. Also, the ensuite. Our thoughts have been confirmed with visitors to the display home, complimenting the home and in particular, these areas."
