Girl Friday loves her social role of marketing Stockland

TERRI Hewerdine's smiling face is seen by many of Gladstone's shoppers and store owners.

The fashionable 27-year-old, who grew up in the region and went to Tannum Sands State High School, lived in Brisbane for 10 years where she studied marketing and advertising at the Queensland University of Technology.

Terri moved back to the region six months ago after a stint of travelling in Europe and South America - now she works as the marketing manager at Stockland Gladstone.

There were a range of reasons motivating her to make the transition, and now she's back here she couldn't be happier.

"Being in a regional area everyone's friendlier," she said.

"It's good to come home."

Terri has a partner and family living in the area, including three nieces.

Apart from spending time with them, Terri enjoys her downtime at Tannum Sands beach. Of her work, Terri said the best part of the job was the social aspect.

"Part of my role is to look after all the separate retail stores and take care of their marketing needs," she said.

In terms of her own style, she said closet staples were a little black dress and a good pair of heels.

Terri features in a fashion spread in Saturday's paper that showcases a few looks, suited to various budgets, which are available from Stockland Gladstone and perfect for spring races.

Plus there'll be a few hints from a professional stylist so it's not to be missed.
