Gallen says NSW Blues hunger for victory over Queensland
NEW South Wales skipper Paul Gallen has made it clear how much importance his team has placed on winning Origin I against Queensland at ANZ Stadium tonight.
"We're putting a lot of effort into this game. Being in Sydney as well, we want to put in a good performance for our fans," he said.
Gallen said the will to beat Queensland had not diminished, despite new coach Laurie Daley bringing in a less-intense atmosphere than his predecessor, Ricky Stuart.
"He wanted to put his own spin of things. It's working for us at the moment - we've just got to go and do it on the field," Gallen said.
"The hatred's always there."
