QCWA Ambrose branch will host a monster cent sale with entertainment of bush poetry and interpretive reading at the hall, 36 Gentle Annie Rd, Ambrose, this afternoon. Entertainment starts at 1.30pm and a cent sale starts with hoy games at 2pm. Afternoon tea will be served, a special draw, lucky door prize and a raffle. The hall doors will open at 12.30pm with thank you tokens for all comers.

Former Gladstone music teacher and The Voice contestant, Mik Laxton, will perform at The Live Room tomorrow night. Known by his artist name as Black Indie, Laxton made it into the fourth round of the singing competition in 2015 in the Madden brothers and Delta Goodrem's teams. The show is part of his last string of shows before he moves to Canada to pursue his music career. The show will be from 7pm and is $5. The Live Room is a venue at Anthony Breed Music on Toolooa St
A bootcamp will be held on Sunday from 7.30 - 8.30am to help raise money for a group of Tannum Sands residents to take part in the Kokoda Challenge. It will be held at the Dennis Park Netball Courts and is $15 per person.
