Funding boost to GAPDL to promote Gladstone's industry tours

GLADSTONE has received a $20,000 funding boost to help promote its industry tours.

The State Government grant will go towards a Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Limited project to expand and improve its range of free industry tours.

The marketing blitz throughout the Brisbane and Southern Great Barrier Reef areas will include a billboard, brochures and other promotional material.

GAPDL chief Glenn Churchill welcomed the announcement.

"Gladstone is a 21st century model industrial city of global significance," he said.

"We want to encourage greater visitation to continue to grow further industry participation."

Mr Churchill said Gladstone's industry players had a responsibility to promote what they do, and reminded tourists that all tours were free.
