Raine and Horne Gladstone team among best in state

RAINE and Horne Gladstone has again won a place in the recent state awards as one of the top performing offices in the state.

This is the 10th year in a row that Raine and Horne Gladstone has featured in the top 10 offices.

This year they secured fourth place which, according to agency principal Mark Patton, was an outstanding result.

"Considering our softened market, to continue to remain in the top Queensland offices for Raine and Horne equates to a team who consistently achieve at the highest level, offering an uncompromised professional service," he said.

"There's no doubt it's been a tough year, we have all had to tighten our belts and work that bit harder to achieve good results, but I can say it's a pleasure to come to work each day and work alongside a dedicated team."

Sales agent Shelley Old is part of the Gladstone Raine and Horne team.

At the Brisbane event Shelley proved that you're never too old to be a rookie.

The newest sales agent, Shelley Old has been awarded 'Rookie of the Year'.

Shelley has been with Raine and Horne for 18 months and has needed to achieve consistently high results to be a contender for this award.

Shelley said her ability to multi-task, and work under pressure was what helped her perform well.

"I need to be highly organised and squeeze every available minute of the working day so that I can also be available for my children after school," she said.

"Having four kids and working either makes you crazy, or forces you to do several things at once - this award helps me to believe that I can be a mum and work and have some sense of balance."

Raine and Horne principal Mark Patton said Shelley's ability to go the extra mile for her clients along with her outstanding sales figures was what won her this hotly contested accolade.

"Shelley juggles a family with four children and her work responsibilities like a seasoned circus clown - I mean that in the nicest possible way," he said.

"This award is well deserved."
