Flood restoration on Round Hill Rd earmarked as urgent
FLOOD restoration work has been earmarked as urgent by Gladstone Regional Council.
Council engineering services portfolio spokesman Councillor Rick Hansen said work on Round Hill Rd, about 5km north of the Fingerboard intersection (towards Agnes Water) was under way.
He said work on the Round Hill Road Bebo Arch restoration project was on schedule with completion forecast for late October.
"Contractors have started removing and dismantling the existing arch structure to enable reconstruction of the concrete support footings," Cr Hansen said.
"This will enable the reinstatement of the arches.
"In conjunction with these works, an upgrade and seal of the side track will continue to allow two-lane traffic movements in this vicinity."
