Endeavour funds disability housing

THE Endeavour Foundation has announced funding for two new houses being built in the Gladstone region to assist people in the area with disabilities.

The announcement comes as Gladstone buckles under the ongoing housing crisis created by the resources boom.

Endeavour Foundation CEO David Barbagallo said he was pleased to announce the housing would go ahead.

"Endeavour Foundation received funding from the joint state-federal Disability Assistance Project to build two new houses to provide supported accommodation for up to five people with a disability in Gladstone," Mr Barbagallo said.

"I welcome the increase in supported accommodation places for people with a disability," he said.

Houses

The Disability Assistance Project is preparing to open two DAP houses in Gladstone as well as two in Bundaberg and recently broke ground on another house in Cairns.
