A MAN has been airlifted with serious injuries after a single vehicle rollover on the Bruce Highway near Mt Larcom this morning.

The 34-year-old man was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition. He suffered serious injuries including facial fractures, a possible fractured skull and a severe laceration to his leg.

Ambulance officers worked on the man for two hours while he was trapped in his vehicle.

Queensland Fire and Rescue Service officers had to use the jaws of life to remove the man.

Gladstone police received a call about the incident at 5.45am, while ambulance officers were on scene around 4am.

The accident happened 1km north of the Mt Larcom service station.

Traffic is flowing freely on the highway.

The cause of the crash is unknown.

In a busy morning for emergency services, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Dixon Drive and Mercury St, Telina at 9.15am.

Queensland Ambulance Service officers were called to attend to minor injuries.
