Drunk banned after lighting up in non-smoking area
A GLADSTONE man has been banned from the Reef Hotel after he lit up a cigarette in a non-smoking area.
On June 9, James Thomas Smith grabbed and pushed security when they asked him to stop smoking. The 30-year-old was heavily intoxicated.
Smith pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court this week to one charge of public nuisance and one of drunk and disorderly behaviour.
He was fined $750 with no conviction recorded. He has been banned from establishments in the CBD for six months.
