Drunk man fined after lunging, spitting at security guard
BEING drunk and disorderly in a licensed premise landed a Gladstone man in court on Tuesday.
The court heard when Mitchell Charles Small was asked to leave The Reef Hotel on May 16, he puffed out his chest and lunged at security.
On his way out of the venue, Small reportedly spat on a security guard. Small pleaded guilty and was fined $400.
No conviction was recorded.
Also facing court on Tuesday was a man who tried to retrieve his mobile phone after a nightclub lockout.
Mason Slade Garland pleaded guilty to two charges relating to an incident on May 18.
The court heard the defendant forced his way back into Bojangles nightclub and resisted arrest a short time later.
He was fined $500. A conviction was recorded.
