Dirty cars help to fund playground
GLADSTONE Car Wash Cafe is lending a helping hand to Rosella Park School by donating 100% of funds raised this weekend at their charity car wash.
Rosella Park School is currently fundraising to upgrade their school playground and needs $70,000 to complete the project.
P& C president Lisa Lowe said she is hoping for a big turnout this weekend and to kick-start the fund-raising.
“We are hoping for heaps of people to come down and bring their kids and help our local kids with disabilities,” she said.
Ms Lowe said she is hoping to raise at least $1000 from the event.
The event will run from 9am to 1pm at the Car Wash Cafe and will be $15 for an inside and outside clean.
Families can enjoy the cafe facilities while their car is being treated with the best possible care.
There will also be a sausage sizzle, jumping castle and a live broadcast from Zinc Radio, who are great supporters of Rosella Park School.
The playground is one of three projects in the works from the school who are excited to finish their sensory garden after being named recipients from the Botanic to Bridge fundraiser later this year.
