Try fest needed to keep Origin entertaining

THE Origin is in the books now boys, it is time to give us some tries.

As much as I love old style, hard up the middle running, accompanied by big hits and little room for the quick guys to work, I want to be entertained with the light-hearted stuff too.

And now the emotion has been lost a little bit, let's put the ball through the hands.

Five tries in two matches is far from what we would expect in modern rugby league.

In fact, I think Queenslanders would have been hopeful the Maroons would have scored that in each match alone.

What do we have to lose anyway?

If we can pound the Blues on the score board, it will give them nightmares for another 12 months.

Let's face it, Queensland will start next year the favourite. So go out and play like it now.

A little bit of the lustre of Origin has been lost in Queensland since the loss.

There is just too much other sport on: the FIFA World Cup, Wimbledon and now the Tour de France.

Get some attention back with a try fest, give a lot of entertainment and a few laughs.

Make it 40-38, because there is nothing to lose.
