Woman suffers burns in fiery crash near Sarina

UPDATE 5.50PM: A WOMAN has suffered burns to multiple parts of her body after the vehicle she was travelling in rolled and caught fire this afternoon. 

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said a woman in her 50s was being treated on scene at Marlborough Sarina Road for burns to her leg, arm and back. 

"Despite her injuries, she is in a stable condition," he said. 

"She will be transported to Mackay Base Hospital by road." 

BREAKING 5.15PM: MULTIPLE emergency crews are on scene at a crash west of Sarina.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said police, fire and ambulance crews were on scene at a crash on Marlborough Sarina Road, about 5km west of Sarina.

She said one vehicle had rolled and caught on fire.

It is understood all persons involved are out of the vehicle, but there are reports at least one has been injured.
