CouncillorConnect visits to resume across the region

GLADSTONE Regional Council will resume its monthly CouncillorConnect visits across the region from February 28.

Meetings have been scheduled at the Ambrose State School library, Nagoorin Hall, Wartburg Rural Fire Service headquarters and the Gladstone Civic Centre boardroom.

At each venue morning tea and a chat session is held from 9.30am, followed by pre-booked, 20 minute individual meetings with Councillors from 10.15am to noon.

Gladstone Mayor Gail Sellers said the visits offered residents a chance to meet with Councillors and speak face-to-face about issues, concerns or ideas.

"Councillors are keen to continue providing residents with the opportunity to meet for discussions within their local areas," Cr Sellers said.

"The sessions have been the platform for some constructive discussions and have allowed residents to meet with their elected local government representatives without the need for extensive travel."

Since July last year, Councillors have travelled in pairs on a rotational basis, to some of the region's smaller communities.

Residents who would like to be notified of upcoming CouncillorConnect visits to their community can send a request to
