Council to discuss E.Coli report at next meeting
ISSUES with contaminated recycled water will be discussed at the next council meeting on August 18.
Until just over three months ago, sports grounds in the Boyne area were using the grey water from the sewerage treatment plant to water fields.
Gladstone Regional Council cut that supply off after discovering the water did not meet quality standards.
Tests conducted by this paper showed high levels of E.Coli in the treated water.
Council officers have been preparing a report on the issue which will be presented at the next council meeting, where a decision is expected to be made on the next step in dealing with the issue.
Council meetings are open to the public with time for questions from the gallery.
