Gladstone council meets for just 22 minutes

LASTING just 22 minutes, yesterday's council meeting was the shortest Mayor Gail Sellers could remember.

The meeting was only the second to be held this year.

"Coming back from Christmas we haven't really ramped things up since then," Cr Sellers said.

The meetings are kept as short as possible because the "community was coming to hear the results of decisions" and not the deliberations, she explained.

The doors to the fortnightly Gladstone Regional Council general meetings are open to the public.
