Community of Ambrose perfect place to bring up children

THE small community of Ambrose offers good country living for people wanting to escape the bustle and hustle of city traffic.

Ambrose is a small community on the outskirts of Gladstone, about a 30min drive away. states that just over 1000 people live there, with just under 31% aged 40 to 59.

Principal of First National Gladstone, Paul Markwell, said the area has a really good country, community feel.

"It's good country living for people who want to bring their children up there and get back to the land, it's an ideal place," he said.

"It's a family area, and increasingly younger families who are moving there."

According to Australian Property Monitors (APM) about 10 properties are currently up for sale or auction, with prices ranging between $110,000 and $475,000.

"There are primary producing opportunities on the properties," Mr Markwell said.

"The area is close to Mt Larcom, close to the access of Mt Larcom into Gladstone and all the large construction projects."

"For people that are wanting to move out of town, it has the Ambrose State School, which is an excellent school from all reports."

Rockhampton is just under an hour's drive away from the rural spot for more shopping options.
