Cole Miller death: Man committed to stand trial
ONE of the men charged over the one punch attack that led to the death of Sunshine Coast teen Cole Miller has been committed to stand trial in the Supreme Court.
Daniel Jermaine Lee Maxwell, 21, faces one count of unlawful striking causing death over the incident in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley in early January.
He was also charged with one count of grievous bodily harm but this offence was withdrawn when his case was mentioned at Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
Mr Maxwell appeared in the prisoner dock wearing a suit. His eyes were focused on the Magistrate during the committal proceedings.
The prosecution handed up the case against him, including witness statements and exhibits.
When the Magistrate asked Mr Maxwell if he wished to say anything, he replied: "No your honour".
His case was committed to the Supreme Court for trial at a future date.
Earlier this month co-accused Armstrong Renata was committed for sentence in a higher court. - ARM NEWDESK
