Chilled Gold Coast muso starts Sunday Sessions at Bojangles

KICKING off Bojangles' Sunday Sessions - Gold Coast artist Jackson Dunn took to the floor in perfect chilled, coasty style.

The musician played some sweet tunes at last week's gig, but unfortunately, the first Bojangles live music session saw the crowd lacking in size.

Big Truck Mafia events organiser Nathan Bedford said it was fairly quiet.

"But the first couple of weeks of January are always quiet," he said.

Nevertheless, the artist had a blast and made some new fans during the time.

Nathan said the venue manager loved it and said the beer, bottle slide - a talented act showcasing guitar skill, while using a beer bottle to dictate the cords - was just awesome.

This weekend Bojangles is rocking out in true Triple J style with the Hottest 100 party featuring two other performances with Josh Harris and Smiles as well as gold fish racing and again, for a special return - Jackson Dunn.
