Chelsea steps out as model housewife in Boomtown

SHE'S studying to be a maths and science teacher but Chelsea Rohde's heart is in music and performance.

The 22-year-old is playing one of the stepford housewives in Gladstone's Boomtime production.

She's backed by a lifetime of singing, playing the piano and performing in musicals and eisteddfods.

"A funny thing is I actually missed the (Boomtown) audition," Chelsea said.

"I was recommended by one of my friends already in it."

The musical has been a huge commitment, with many rehearsals.

"There hasn't ever really been a production as big as this in Gladstone," Chelsea said.
