Brothers through to GF as Wallabys wane in semi

RUGBY LEAGUE: Wallabys' women produced their worst performance of the season during a 40-0 thrashing against Brothers in the Inter City Women's Competition qualifying final.

While the task was never going to be easy minus Brisbane Broncos player Chelsea Baker, Wallabys never looked in the contest despite boasting a side full of talent.

The loss means Brothers have a week off and advance straight to the grand final and Wallabys face Tannum after the Seagals defeated Emu Park 22-16 in the earlier elimination final.

Wallabys fell behind 16-0 and looked liked carrying that deficit into half-time only for Brothers to score inside the final 30 seconds to take the score to 20-0 at the break.

That lead doubled after the break as Bree Spreadborough and Emily Powell completed their hat-tricks.
