Rampant victory over Valleys sends a message
BROTHERS Rugby League Football Club sent a scary message to the rest of the competition on Saturday, scoring 11 tries against Valleys Diehards.
The match was physical and even for the first three minutes, but then errors began to creep into the Valleys game.
Their poor tackling let the Brothers forwards offload and increased the workload of the Valleys defence.
When they got the ball in hand, Valleys made simple mistakes and struggled to string full sets together.
The Brothers' Brent Crisp was dominating in five-eighth all game.
The big bodied playmaker clicked the ball around onto hard running confident forwards or he would attack the line himself.
His timing and speed of play were at their best when Tyrone Hopgood made a bullocking run 15 minutes out and Crisp ran past for a timely offload.
Crisp ran through to score under the posts to score just before half-time ahead 24-6.
The second-half continued like the first with Brothers dominating most of the play and winning 58-12.
