BREAKING: Residents warned as crews battle Rosedale blaze

QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Services has advised Rosedale residents to keep up to date as crews continue to fight a fire nearby.

A bushfire advice warning was published at 5.45pm about the Rosedale fire, which is travelling from McPherson St and Wills Rd towards Diamond Hill Rd.

"You need to keep up to date and decide what actions you will take if the situation changes," the advice said.

"Firefighters will be backburning throughout the evening in an effort to contain the fire."

People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.
