Man banned from clubs after yelling at security guards
A MAN has been banned from entering licensed premises in Gladstone after getting into an argument with a woman and yelling at security guards.
Boz Nixon was banned from licensed premises in the Gladstone Safe Night Precinct for six months when he appeared in the Gladstone Magistrates Court this week.
The court heard Nixon had argued with a woman at MiePlace and yelled at security guards when they tried to remove him from the premises.
Police officers had to carry him across the street to a patrol car as he sat on the ground a number of times.
"You are the author of your own misfortune," Magistrate Penelope Hay told Nixon.
"This is the last time you will receive a fine. You need to address your drinking problem."
The magistrate fined Nixon $800 and banned him from licensed premises for six months.
