Big night for old-time rockers

ROCK on up to the Diggers Arms on Saturday night for another big night of old-time rock 'n' roll - and help families affected by cancer.

Just Rock Gladstone (JRG) is fast making a name for themselves as organisers of great gigs while helping worthwhile charities.

JRG events co-ordinator Geoff Peepall said last month's event, also at the Diggers Arms Hotel in Calliope, had helped the kids at Rosella Special School and now the group was supporting Sue-Ellen Howie's 2012 Relay for Life team in support of the Australian Cancer Council (Queensland).

"It was a great night last month and we are hoping for a similar roll-up and good times on Saturday (Nov 19)," Geoff said.

"Along with QGC, Coventry Fasteners and the Diggers Arms Hotel we are backing up for another big night of good music, dancing and a bit of fun."

Local duo Mood Swing will provide the music with plenty of nostalgia and rock classics plus a few more contemporary numbers.

There will also be raffles, a licensed bar, lucky door prize and plenty of good times.

Come dressed in your best rock regalia or smart casual for a fun night at the Diggers Arms.

For just $10 organisers are assuring a great night from 7.30-11.30pm with Just Rock Gladstone's theme for the night of Let's Rock This Place.
