Big hitters to address attendees at GEA annual conference

IT'S a big milestone, and one of central Queensland's most popular industry events comes at a crucial time for Gladstone industrial development.

The Gladstone Engineering Alliance and major sponsor Golding are preparing for the 10th year of their annual conference.

As Gladstone prepares to move into a new phase of the major LNG projects and with new projects regularly in the pipeline, this year's conference promises insightful project overviews, and information about future work packages and tenders.

Speakers for this year's conference include Global Economist for Westpac Bill Evans to give an overview of the world markets affecting Gladstone.

Sheldon Swanson, Engineering Manager (Upstream) for APLNG; Michael Batiste, Supply Chain Manager for GLNG; and QCLNG representatives will deliver insight into LNG operations as projects look beyond the construction phase.

Big hitters including Arrow Energy, Golding, QER, Adani Mining, General Electric, Monadelphous, Anglo American and Caledon Resources will also address the two-day event.

Gladstone success story Golding has been the major sponsor of the event for 10 years and has been involved in the development of Queensland resources for 70 years.

Golding maintains long-term relationships within major industry and business in the Gladstone region.

The conference will be held at CQUniversity on October 23-24.
