YARALLA Football Club celebrated 40 years of football on Saturday night, announcing the Yaralla Best 11 teams.

The night, organised by long-time club member Paul Lester, brought together about 80 of the club's current and former members.

"It was a great night, terrific, really fun," Lester said.

Four of the club's life members attended and each gave a speech outlining different decades of the club's history.

"We had a good mix of young and old and kept everyone entertained," Lester said.

"The life members talked about 10 years of history each and that allowed some older people to reminisce."

Newer members were able to learn more about the club, and new bonds were made between different age groups during the night.

"I think some kicked on until about two in the morning, so maybe there are a few stories to tell at the 50th anniversary," Lester said.

The companionship, history and entertainment were enhanced on the night by a raffle and a lucky door prize, a great offering of a signed Brisbane Roar Premiership jersey signed by the team.
