Girl with best job in the world comes back to region

IMAGINE if you got paid to visit the best tourism destinations in Queensland - it would be the Best Job in the World.

That's exactly what French woman Elisa Detrez is doing. She's on her way back to the Gladstone region while she's got the chance.

Ms Detrez, an online marketer from Paris, won Tourism Queensland's Best Job in the World ahead of thousands of other applicants.

Ms Detrez is keen to take a look at Heron and Seventeen Seventy.

"Queensland is renowned in France for its natural beauty, which made the job as park ranger so appealing.

"Along the way I look forward to learning from the custodians of the land and want to encourage more people to visit this amazing destination."

And the rest of France and much of Europe are getting pretty interested in Elisa's adventure and the natural wonders of Queensland.

A team from various European media outlets including television and the world-famous Paris Match magazine are coming to speak with Elisa when she visits Seventeen Seventy early in the New Year.

But before that Elisa will spend a couple of nights on Heron Island later this month and will explore several other islands in the Capricorn Bunker Group.

And then after an island adventure it's off inland to Myella Farmstay and then Kroombit Tops.
