PEOPLE who bank online can put the finger on security thanks to new identification technology.
Westpac's new Touch ID sensor allows smartphone owners to sign in using their fingerprints.
More than 165,000 customers are using the technology that hits iPads this week.
Westpac retail banking general manager Gai McGrath said the technology was also available on Samsung Galaxy 5 and Note 4 phones.
