Baker in touch with State of Origin revenge victory
TOUCH FOOTBALL: Gladstone rugby league star Chelsea Baker starred in Queensland's come-from-behind victory in the State of Origin touch football series.
Baker played in the over-30 division, scoring three touchdowns in the best-of-three format.
Queensland lost the first game to New South Wales on Friday 8-5, then fought back to win the next two games on Saturday, 11-10 and 6-2.
Baker played in all three games and said it was good to get one over the southern opposition.
"It always feels good to get one over the Blues and come home with a win against them,” Baker said.
"The series was hard, both physically and mentally, to play.
"To come back from one game down and from behind in the second game showed some real character about the team wanting to win.”
The series win caps a busy league and touch season for Baker who is looking forward to getting some rest in the off-season before preparing for next year.
