No bail this time after man charged over second drug lab

THE new Dumb and Dumber movie is in production - and you could be forgiven for thinking the movie was being shot in Carter St, West Gladstone.

Mitchell Leslie James Mason, 40, was denied bail after he appeared in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon to face three charges related to a raid carried out in Carter St on Tuesday, which uncovered a Category B clandestine drug lab.

The same house was raided on September 19, with Mason charged with similar offences and released on bail.

Police claimed the home had been utilised for the production of drugs since that date.

It was also alleged Mason was in possession of an amount of marijuana in a clip seal bag, as well as precursors and equipment used to produce amphetamines.

Mason applied for bail but this was refused by Magistrate Russell Warfield, and Mason was remanded in custody.

He will reappear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on October 22.
