Talent rocks stage at festival
SINGERS, dancers and musicians of all shapes and sizes had their chance to shine as they took centre stage at this years' Toolooa 7-day Pharmacy and 4CC's Talent Quest and Battle of the Bands on Tuesday night.
Crowds flocked to the Marina stage to cheer on both junior and senior entrants during this popular Harbour Festival event.
Taking out the title of junior category was a tie between Isabella Impiccini and Emily Newman.
With third prize presented to Shanice Andersen for her vocal talent.
Jess Cullen was the winner of the senior contest, impressing the judges with her vocal and keyboard performance.
In second place was Andy Stanhope and third place prize went to Bronwyn Burke.
An overall audience appeal award was also presented to dance group Shackles, and an encouragement award to Jeffrey Nicholls.
Gladstone Festival and Events manager Judy Whicker said the night was a huge success.
Winners of the Battle of the Bands contest included first place holders Malignant, second to Fist Full of Ash and third Take&mate.
