Alleged Rebels charged for having a beer stay behind bars
FIVE alleged bikies charged after meeting at a Sunshine Coast pub for a beer will remain in custody until next week.
The men aged between 26 and 56 were charged under Queensland's hardline anti-association laws which prevent three or more members of a criminal gang meeting in a public place.
Solicitors for Steven Michael Smith, Scott Michael Conly, Joshua Shane Carew, Paul Jeffery Lansdowne and Dan Whale did not apply for bail on their behalf during a brief mention today in the Brisbane Magistrates Court.
Paul Jeffery Lansdowne was the only one of the five who appeared in court.
The magistrate ordered all police material to be filed and served before close of business on Friday.
The five men will have their bail application heard on in the same court on Wednesday, December 18 at 2.30pm.
