Agnes festival headline act Russel Morris all about Australia
RUSSELL Morris will headline the line-up of the Agnes Blues Roots and Rock Festival early next year.
With critically acclaimed releases Sharkmouth and Van Diemen's Land, the blues and roots artist takes pride in showcasing the rich tapestry of Australian history.
Now the Aria-nominated artist has releases his third and final album in the series of Australian Stories - Red Dirt - Red Heart.
His latest album recognises the people who have inhabited Australia for at least 40,000 years, including two bushrangers, a song about a loner, a recluse and an escape artist.
The Agnes Water Blues Roots and Rock festival will be held from February 19 - 21.
The line-up includes 8 Ball Aitken, Agnes Blue, Adam Hole Band, Kissing the Flint, Dr Trouble, Mason Rack Band and many more great artists to be announced over the coming weeks.
The 2016 festival also has a range of new and exciting food and market stalls, entertainment line-ups and artists offering music workshops throughout the weekend.
