Gladstone agents proud to be apart of the honourable A-List
THE A-LIST speaks for itself - and Gladstone is proud to boast two local real estate agents that have made this year's list - Bevan Rose and Steven James.
The inaugural event is the first non-self-nominated ranking of Queensland's agents and to celebrate the top agents gathered for a fabulous, learning event in Brisbane at The Emporium Hotel on Tuesday, November 12.
Gladstone LJ Hooker sales consultant Steven James and Bevan Rose were selected for the list - which identifies the best agents based on their successful and stock volumes using information available on agent activity, listings, marketing and method of sale.
The list showed 86 different agents from various franchises and boutique agencies.
Mr James said it was humbling to be on the list.
"The other great thing was mixing with some of the best of the best and finding out what works and doesn't work for them."
During the Brisbane event, agents received the opportunity to hear from guest speakers, Mark McLeod, Peter Camphim and Mike Duff.
Mr McLeod spoke about sustainable careers in real estate - and who wouldn't want to learn about how not to burn out?
Mr James said he discussed how to work hard, but sensibly with balance.
"Peter Camphim was excellent - he shared his observations of successful agents and how to take things to the next level."
The speaker has been in real estate for many years.
Mr Duff, past CEO of Tennis Australia, also offered some positive wisdom.
The professional, who is one of Australia's leading coaches of high performance and human behaviour, has been a mentor to many people including those in the sporting field.
Mr James said he spoke about the power of the mind - the conscious and sub-conscious mind.
He said he was motivational but also helped discuss how to find that peace and centre yourself so you stay on focus.
"He shared about how the mind tells you, you can't do certain things but in actual fact you can."
Overall Mr James said it was a positive experience and it was great to have two people in this region that were recognised by their peers.
