4WD club to take part in clean up to conserve Lillies Beach

GLADSTONE 4WD Club will take part in the Boyne Beach Scrub Project this Sunday in an effort to help conserve Lillies Beach.

Club environment and safety officer Martin Thomas said the idea was formed when the Fitzroy Basin Association approached the club 12 months ago.

"We were interested in being a part of it," Thomas said.

"(We want) to preserve that environment and make it an enjoyable place to go."

On Sunday club members will plant trees and remove weeds and rubbish.
