The 2011 Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible
CHECK out this beautiful 2011 Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible, AKA the king of Bentley drop-tops.
This beast features a front mounted 6.0-litre W12 engine which is able to produce up to 463kW (621 hp) at 6000rpm and a whopping 800Nm of torque (590 lb-ft of torque) at 2000rpm.
Yes you read correctly, this Bentley has more power than a Ferrari 458 Speciale and nearly enough torque to send it souring into the sky... that is if it didn't weigh nearly 2.4 tonnes.
This new transmission also features 'Quickshift', which cuts shifting times by up to 50% and enables double downshifts. This power then gets sent to all-four wheels.
Despite its weight, the Supersports Convertible is able to launch from 0-100 kilometres per hour in just 3.9 seconds, and it will keep accelerating until it reaches its top speed of (202 miles per hour).
The Supersports Convertible not only receives some engine upgrades and a fancy body kit, but it also features a revised version of Bentley's Continuous Damping Control (CDC) air suspension with stiffer bushings and the anti-roll bar is thicker. It also has a tweaked steering response for quicker turn-in, the rear track is widened by about two inches and dropped around 0.5 of an inch, slightly flared wheel arches, and larger twin exhaust pipes. Also, the two large intakes on either side of the front bumper provide 10% more airflow to the intercoolers.
Some other features that this particular Bentley is equipped with includes 20-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli performance tyres, a rear lip spoiler, variable intermittent rain sensing wipers, a power folding convertible roof, double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, a front and rear stabilizer bar, four-wheel ABS as well as traction and stability control, self levelling and dusk sensing xenon headlights, front and rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, a red premium leather interior with carbon fiber sport seats (similar to those in the Bugatti Veyron), and much more!
You can currently buy a 2011 Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible for about $300,000.
